"We had a massive competitor list but no idea how to activate it. The system built for us turned that list into one of our most powerful growth channels. The scale, deliverability, and results were beyond anything we've seen before."

Overview

Maestro.io is a next-generation streaming platform for creators, brands and media companies, a more flexible alternative to Vimeo, Dacast and Brightcove. They had spent years building a great product and had a massive dataset of users from competitor platforms. What they did not have: a strategy, deliverability infrastructure or a system to turn those users into Maestro customers.

One year after I built their outbound acquisition engine: 250,000+ new signups, 80+ new users a day, 80%+ open rates, 20%+ click rates, and 100% deliverability at 20,000 emails per day.

The starting point

What I did

1. Multi-server outreach infrastructure

I deployed 5 dedicated outbound email servers mixing Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and custom SMTP, spread across multiple sending domains with automated reputation balancing and smart throttling. That made 20,000+ emails per day safe instead of suicidal.

2. Hybrid manual warmup

Automated warmup tools are slow and predictable, so I built a hybrid: trained virtual assistants creating human-like engagement, replies, forwards, stars and thread interactions, using the actual campaign templates. This is why the account hit 100% deliverability, which is extremely rare at this volume.

3. Competitor-migration messaging

Sequences written specifically to get users to switch: simpler onboarding, lower streaming costs, better analytics, white-label capability, better live event performance. The value proposition connected immediately because it spoke to what competitor users already felt.

4. Full execution, 7 days a week

Daily sending operations, deliverability monitoring, inbox rotation, A/B testing and click-to-signup attribution. The system ran with near-perfect uptime.

The system they own today

  • 5-server dedicated outbound infrastructure
  • Hybrid manual + automated warmup that reinforces reputation
  • Multi-domain deployment strategy
  • 20,000 daily emails without reputation loss
  • High-converting competitor-migration messaging
  • Daily reporting and a continuous acquisition pipeline

Conclusion

Instead of gathering dust, Maestro's competitor lists became a high-performance revenue engine producing hundreds of thousands of new users. This is the difference between sending emails and owning a scalable acquisition system.
