How I turned a cold, inherited list into $2,000/day in additional revenue with a unified lifecycle system

"We inherited a list and a tech stack that we didn't fully trust. They helped us rebuild from the ground up, unifying email, SMS, and push, fixing deliverability, and turning cold contacts into paying users. The extra revenue from flows alone more than justifies the partnership. Our lifecycle system finally feels like an engine, not a guess."
Perry, CEO at CheckCheck LLC

Overview

CheckCheck is a verification app: customers upload photos of luxury items like designer bags and sneakers, and CheckCheck's experts confirm whether they are real or fake. When the current owners bought the business they inherited tens of thousands of contacts who had never been consistently emailed, push notifications running in OneSignal, email in Klaviyo, and no unified journey between any of it.

I rebuilt the whole lifecycle system. Within 30 days deliverability went from 10% to 61%, and the flows started generating roughly $2,000 a day in additional revenue.

The starting point

What I did

1. Unified everything under Klaviyo

I made Klaviyo the brain of lifecycle marketing: email and key lifecycle logic consolidated, events and customer data flowing into one place, and push coordinated with the journey instead of firing in isolation.

2. Woke the list up without burning it

The inherited contacts were treated like a cold audience: re-engagement campaigns structured like cold email but with brand context, gradual volume ramp to protect reputation, and segmentation that separated responsive contacts from dead weight. Engaged contacts were folded into the full Klaviyo funnel.

3. Built the core lifecycle flows

Welcome for new and reactivated users, abandoned cart for incomplete verifications, post-purchase for education and referrals, and upsell flows introducing multi-item checks and higher tiers. The app became a relationship instead of a one-time transaction.

4. Coordinated email, SMS and push

Timing, messaging and value consistent across all three channels, orchestrated from one system, plus templates and frameworks the CheckCheck team now uses to launch new campaigns themselves.

The system they own today

  • Klaviyo as the central lifecycle hub
  • Re-engagement logic for dormant and inherited contacts
  • Welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase and upsell flows
  • Coordinated email + SMS + push journeys
  • Templates and tools for fast ongoing campaign creation
  • A deliverability framework that scales with growth

Conclusion

CheckCheck had a trusted app, a newly acquired list, fragmented messaging and serious deliverability problems. Thirty days later they had a lifecycle machine producing $2,000 a day on top of their existing baseline. We continue to refine flows, segmentation and multi-channel orchestration together, building a system that supports the brand for years, not quarters.
